Product Shot 1The Sharkoon SATA QuickPort is a SATA hard-disc drive docking station that connects to a PC via USB 2.0 (QuickPort) or USB 3.0 (QuickPort USB3.0). It is plug and play compatible with Windows and Mac OS operating systems, allowing a user immediate access to his or her SATA HDD at speeds up to 5Gbit/sec (USB3.0).

Using the QuickPort USB3.0 model does, however, require a USB3.0 host controller card for USB 3.0 speeds, but it is downwards compatible with USB 2.0.
